The hotel's surroundings are quiet and peaceful with ample space for parking. the rooms are adequately clean and comfortable with standard bathroom facilities, but the pillows and mattresses could do with an upgrade. the staff are friendly and helpful, and the food is tasty and well-presented, especially the garlic prawns and whitebait fritters.
The hotel lacks any noteworthy facilities for children, and there is no mention of a play area, game room, or similar fun activities for them.

The location of this hotel is unbeatable. Surrounded by stunning scenery and a friendly community. The rooms were clean and spacious. The shower pressure was amazing! We enjoyed the great restaurant and breakfast offered by the hotel.
There were a few things that didn't meet our expectations. The bed was too lumpy and uncomfortable.

Located near the beach, this hotel was perfect for our Xmas beach vacation. the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the owner was friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the hearty breakfast served in the restaurant and the range of beers on tap. we loved the large servings of delicious whitebait patties served by the friendly staff.
The rooms were not as warm as we expected, with a draft coming in from the door and an inadequate heater which was a poor source of heat. the pillows were also uncomfortable, and we had to strip blankets from the extra single bed to keep warm through the cold night.

I had a wonderful stay at the Karamea Village Hotel. The food at the bar and restaurant was absolutely delicious. The whitebait fritters were big and tasty, and my partner enjoyed the big breakfast. The staff member was extremely apologetic and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel is also conveniently located near the beach.
